The "Über" Ranger Blog Show

Well, there’s my problem.

Hay, now if you ever wanted to Fuck Vimeo over yourself (and learn from my mistake in the process of paying them $60 a year to host videos with no support or obvious services provided other then deleting my videos at random) why not setup your own ‘WordTube’ then.

Hyup, after doing some digging tonight on the Internets I discovered the magic of how to host and stream my own videos. The secret is the JW Player and a plug-in you can get for WordPress to easily manage and share your shared Media files. Also check out FlowPlayer and related WordPress plug-ins.

Oh yeah, another example of the latest player incarnate is below. So, yeah… I will be yanking down all my Vimeo videos over the next month (now that I have them all backed up locally) and for sure be asking them for a pro-rated refund when I close my account with them.

One of the nice things about this player is you can tell it to play all items, and as you add things to your media centre, the player just updates itself. How nice is that?

Anyways, enough Geek’ing (and Ranting) for me this weekend… so… I JUST HAD TO GO OUT  FISHING TODAY!!

Yes, I found OpenSource and OpenWater.

All in all, it turned out to be a VERY GOOD DAY INDEED!

Except for kitty.. she couldn’t go fishing, but really wanted to.
