“Peace Of Mind”

June 9th, 2008 Ranger Bob No comments

Got a “Jeep Alarm / Starter” installed today for $650. The Scotch will soon help me forget how much I paid for it.. and also give me “peace of mind”. Yah, after it already got broken into once after owning it for a week.. and having my Dodge Shadow, and bike ripped off in this “hood”.. I have been looking forward to this “mod” for awhile.

I also installed a Cargo Rack the other day, and am awaiting some more mods that I ordered, that I can now install seeing as the alarm is in place.

FACT: Cars were invented to have a faster way of fleeing from Chuck Norris. Not to be outdone, Chuck Norris invented the Jeep.

My Jeep

May 3rd, 2008 Ranger Bob No comments

Picked up my 2001 TJ Wrangler yesterday, with only 87,000 KM on it’s she’s well kept. I bought this off my buddy Roy Ramdeen whom already has two other Jeeps. Looking forward to fishing season this year indeed.

Jeep Fever (a.k.a. Spring Fever)

April 12th, 2008 Ranger Bob No comments

Scratch and I helped out as instructors today at the NLFTF beginners fly tying course. After the course was over we headed out in his new Jeep ‘Libby’ down to the banks of the North Saskatchewan to check out the conditions and play in the mud a little (Flickr Video Here).

As we did, we saw a lady in a 2008 Jeep Wrangler X with her four kids in the back doing the same. We offered up a hearty ‘Jeep Wave‘ as she passed, and of course it was promptly returned. Way cool!

Oh yah, I also snapped a rather odd find of some techno trash in the bush here. Amazing what, and where some people dump stuff!

Tomorrow, my buddy Vince from the club is going to instruct me in how to drive his standard TJ. Aye, I’ve not driven a stick before – so having an opportunity to learn will open up my choices in looking for that new Jeep. I promise I won’t burn your clutch out Vince! I am looking forward to it.
